The James E. McLeod Honors and Awards Program recognizes Black students who demonstrate academic excellence, initiative, responsibility, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in individual pursuits as well as community service.
Prospective award recipients may nominate themselves or be nominated by students, faculty or staff. Nominees may be asked to submit a resume and other supporting documents. A selection committee of faculty and staff for each award reviews all submissions. An interview with the selection committee may be required.
